Camboon Primary School in Morley has officially opened a new $3 million early childhood education block, which is set to enhance the learning experience for its youngest students.
The new building, part of an election promise by the Cook Government, includes three modern classrooms designed to accommodate kindergarten and pre-primary students. It also features essential facilities such as toilets, a kitchen, and storage areas.
The classrooms offer a bright, contemporary environment, allowing for future student enrolment growth. The design promotes collaboration between educators and provides opportunities for outdoor learning, contributing to a well-rounded early childhood education experience.
The building was designed by Hodge Collard Preston Architects and constructed by Rivet Construction, with completion in August 2024.
Camboon Primary School, which serves a diverse student body with 40 different language backgrounds, also offers specialized programs in music, visual arts, physical education, Italian, and technology.
