Hinckley-Finlayson Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is inviting local families to enjoy a festive evening together on December 10. The event, aimed at children from birth to age five and their families, will offer a complimentary meal and a variety of fun activities.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., attendees will be served cheese pizza, fruit, and juice. Afterward, children will have the chance to engage in craft activities, decorate cookies, and enjoy hot chocolate.
In a special holiday treat, Santa Claus will also be on hand to collect letters from children and read a few holiday stories, adding extra excitement to the evening.
ECFE Coordinator Maggie Lee explains that the event’s goal is to strengthen the connection between the school and the community’s youngest families, ensuring they are aware of and can participate in such events.
Katie Dixon, an ECFE teacher, along with Lee, is leading the event. Lee also noted that the event is made possible through the generous contributions of the school’s staff and volunteers.
Looking ahead, Lee encourages the community to support future events by offering financial contributions or volunteering to assist with activities like the craft tables.
“This event is all about spreading holiday cheer,” Lee says. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and enjoy quality time with one another.”
