In a bid to improve early childhood education, UAC Nigeria Plc has donated books to students at Anglican Girls Seminary Primary School and Cathedral Primary School on Lagos Island.

This donation marks the launch of the company’s flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, aimed at addressing key challenges in early childhood education, particularly in underserved areas.

The donation drive, which is part of UAC’s broader efforts to enhance literacy, provided educational resources to children in communities where the company operates. Over 120 students from both schools benefited from the books, receiving essential tools to support their learning.

Queenette Durosinmi-Etti, UAC’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the company’s commitment to early childhood education as a central focus of their CSR strategy. She remarked, “At UAC, we believe that early childhood education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. This initiative demonstrates our dedication to investing in the future of our children, giving them the resources they need to realize their full potential. Through such initiatives, we aim to foster a more equitable and literate society.”

Durosinmi-Etti also called on other organizations and stakeholders to join UAC in creating lasting change and contributing to positive social impact in local communities across the country.

Community leaders and educators praised the donation, noting that it would help address the gap in access to educational materials.
