UAE Launches Education Continuity Project to Support Lebanese Children.
In a show of solidarity with Lebanon, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the launch of the Education Continuity Project. This initiative aims to provide essential educational resources to Lebanese children affected by ongoing conflict and economic challenges.
The project will deliver online learning materials and various digital educational tools, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to supporting young learners in Lebanon. As the country faces a prolonged crisis that has severely impacted its education sector, this initiative seeks to bridge significant gaps in learning.
Operated under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the project aims to ensure that 40,000 children can continue their education. “The Lebanon Education Continuity Project will help the Lebanese people face current challenges, especially in education, where many children risk falling behind due to difficulties attending school this academic year,” said Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of MBRGI.
The Education Continuity Project will provide a variety of online and offline resources tailored to the diverse needs of students in Lebanon. The program will offer access to quality learning materials and interactive tools designed to enhance online education. By using advanced technology, the initiative aims to ensure that Lebanese students can pursue their education without interruptions.
The UAE has a history of supporting Lebanon, and this project continues that tradition. The Education Continuity Project highlights how digital solutions can help reduce educational disruptions, particularly in areas where infrastructure is lacking.
UAE leaders understand that education is crucial for recovery and resilience, particularly for young people facing Lebanon’s difficulties. The resources provided by this project are expected to have a significant impact, not only by enabling continuous learning but also by inspiring hope among students and their families.
