Billericay is set to welcome a new nursery and pre-school, catering to children from six weeks to five years old, with a grand opening scheduled for late September this year. The highly anticipated Barleylands Nursery and Pre-School has already attracted over 400 inquiries, signaling strong community interest.
The nursery promises a unique educational experience, featuring daily visits to Barleylands Farm. Children will enjoy the dynamic farm environment, engaging in activities such as counting piglets and observing seasonal changes during tractor and trailer rides.
Naoise, the senior manager at the nursery, shared her excitement, saying, “Each site visit increases my enthusiasm for our nature-based play program. The nursery looks fantastic, and with so many educational opportunities at Barleylands Farm, the possibilities are endless. The high level of local interest is very encouraging.”
The new facility boasts modern, state-of-the-art amenities, including free-flow access to nursery gardens for seamless indoor and outdoor play. It also features convenient pick-up points for parents. The nursery will offer freshly made meals and numerous learning opportunities for young children.
Barleylands Nursery and Pre-School will operate until 6:30 PM daily and is part of both the government-funded childcare scheme and the tax-free childcare scheme for children from nine months old.
