Dublin Parks Introduces Two New Preschool Options for Kids

by Beatrice

The Dublin Parks and Community Services Department has introduced two new preschool programs for young children.

The first, Shannon Academy, is a short-session program focused on essential skills like letter recognition, cutting, writing, problem-solving, and social development. This flexible program offers 10 sessions, each lasting four weeks, throughout the school year. Classes run from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday through Thursday, and align with the Dublin Unified School District’s holiday schedule.

The second program, Little Clovers Extended Learning, targets transitional kindergarten students aged 4 and older. It emphasizes kindergarten readiness in literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills.

These new programs complement the city’s existing Threes and Fours preschool options. The Threes program provides morning, play-based sessions aimed at social, emotional, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, and sensory development, with choices for two, three, or four days per week.

The Fours program is a morning session designed to prepare children for kindergarten, focusing on similar developmental areas as the Threes program, with early academic components included. It also offers options for two, three, or four days per week.

All classes take place at the Shannon Community Center, located at 11600 Shannon Ave.
