The government plans to enhance early childhood education by improving registration processes, safety, health standards, and curriculum, according to Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
Minister Sidek announced these plans following a meeting of the Special Committee on Integrated Regulation of Early Childhood Education Institutions, which she led today. The meeting was attended by Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang, along with representatives from the Health Ministry and the Ministry of National Unity.
The purpose of the meeting was to build greater trust and confidence in early childhood education institutions across Malaysia. Minister Sidek expressed hope that the discussions would result in more effective and comprehensive regulation of these institutions nationwide.
Fadhlina Sidek noted that improving early childhood education is part of a broader initiative involving six key task forces aimed at strengthening the country’s education system.
In a related Facebook post, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri emphasized that early childhood education is a collective responsibility that requires coordinated efforts from all ministries to ensure a high-quality and supportive education environment.
