Menston Preschool has once again achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating from education watchdog Ofsted following their inspection on June 6th.
This accolade reflects exceptional performance across all assessment areas, including behaviour, educational quality, professional development, and leadership. The latest Ofsted report, released on July 8th, praised the preschool for its welcoming environment and effective educational practices.
According to the report, children thrive in the preschool’s nurturing atmosphere, greeted warmly by their designated caregivers. They eagerly engage in learning activities and enthusiastically share their experiences with peers. The curriculum was lauded as both inspiring and ambitious, catering to the needs of every child, including those with special educational needs (SEND).

Menston Preschool values strong partnerships with parents, offering stay and play sessions and regular updates on each child’s progress. The report highlighted parents’ high regard for the preschool’s inclusive approach and the dedication of its staff.
Community engagement is also a cornerstone of Menston Preschool’s philosophy, collaborating with local groups such as the Menston Community Fridge and hosting visits from community members to enrich the children’s learning experiences.
Only 19% of early years providers in England currently hold an Outstanding rating, underscoring the preschool’s exceptional commitment to education and childcare.
