Primary School Children Engage in Marine Education at Camp Bay

by Beatrice

In Camp Bay, children from St Anne’s and Notre Dame schools recently engaged with Gibraltar’s marine invertebrates thanks to The Nautilus Project (TNP). Through TNP’s catch, learn, and release strategy, pupils enjoyed close encounters with local marine wildlife.

St Anne’s School pupils, participating in TNP’s program, had the chance to interact firsthand with marine invertebrates. TNP emphasized the importance of reconnecting with nature to inspire future generations to protect Gibraltar’s coastline.

According to TNP, these interactions help foster a passion for wildlife conservation, ensuring its preservation for the future. They also praised their youth educators for their impactful work in teaching younger students.

“It’s inspiring to see our youth taking the lead in educating others,” said TNP, acknowledging the efforts of Adrianne, Alex, Charles, and AJ.
