The Arlington school district is underway with the construction of a new facility to replace its current career center. According to Arlington Now, the Grace Hopper Center, costing $180 million and spanning five stories, is set to accommodate over 1,600 students enrolled in vocational and technical courses. This marks an increase from the current Arlington Career Center’s capacity of 1,400 students. Named in honor of Grace Hopper, a trailblazer in computer programming and software development, the new center is anticipated to open in 2026, as stated by the school board.
