Cinnaminson Introduces PreK Classes with New Lottery Enrollment System

by Beatrice

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Cinnaminson School District is expanding its preschool offerings and implementing a lottery system for families interested in enrolling their children.

Starting in February, the district will open two additional preschool classrooms, which will be tuition-free and funded by state preschool-expansion aid.

“The Cinnaminson Board of Education is committed to improving preschool access,” district officials said in a letter to families. “This funding will help us reach our goal of enrolling 430 students and reducing the current waitlist. We hope to announce the opening of even more classrooms for the 2025-2026 school year.”

The new classes will begin on February 3. To be eligible for the lottery, children must be 3 or 4 years old by October 1, 2024, and live in Cinnaminson.

Families interested in applying must submit an online form by December 11. The lottery drawing will take place on December 18, with families notified by phone or email.

Those not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waitlist and may be considered for enrollment if a spot becomes available.
