WESTFIELD, NJ — Apple Montessori Preschool and Daycare marked the opening of its new facility in Westfield with a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month.
Located at 445 South Ave. East in Westfield Crossing, the new school offers a variety of programs, including infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and summer camp. The state-of-the-art facility features both indoor and outdoor classrooms, a multipurpose indoor gym, and a saltwater swimming pool.
With a capacity for 150 students, the school currently has 80 enrolled, according to Andrea Vargas, CEO of Apple Montessori Schools.
Founded in 1972, Apple Montessori stays committed to its traditional Montessori approach, while incorporating modern elements, said Vargas. “Our pre-K and kindergarten students gain the technological skills they’ll need for future schooling, where digital tools are used more frequently,” she explained.
Vargas also highlighted the school’s emphasis on staff development. “We have a large training team that ensures our staff remains updated on the latest practices, using evidence-based materials to enhance our curriculum,” she added.
Although the Westfield location has been open for less than a month, Vargas expressed excitement about the strong involvement of local parents. “We have an amazing parent community here. They are incredibly engaged, and we truly appreciate their support.”
