Grow & Learn Preschool has received approval from the Department of Economic Security (DES) to offer expanded childcare services, enabling the facility to serve a wider range of local families. This certification is required for any provider offering care for four or more children on-site.
According to a statement from the preschool, the approval marks an important step in its mission to provide a nurturing, education-focused environment for young children. “With new DES approval, Grow & Learn Preschool furthers its commitment to offering a supportive and enriching setting for children,” the statement read.
The preschool added that the certification will help expand its services by granting access to DES childcare assistance programs. This will make quality early childhood education more accessible to working families in the area.
The need for additional childcare services is growing in the Valley, and Grow & Learn’s certification aims to address this demand. The DES highlighted the shortage of providers, especially those offering care for infants and flexible hours, including evening, overnight, and weekend care.
To earn the certification, Grow & Learn met several requirements set by the DES, including specialized training, background checks for all staff, educational qualifications, and ongoing professional development. The preschool also adheres to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines, and complies with child protection laws.
In addition to daycare services, Grow & Learn Preschool provides a curriculum that blends academic learning with play. Serving children aged 1 to 5, the preschool focuses on key subjects such as language arts, math, science, and arts and crafts. The program encourages the development of essential skills and sparks curiosity in its students.
