Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) is reaching out to residents to gather their thoughts on the future of children’s education. The school board is hosting community sessions to hear from families and community members about their visions for students’ education. This feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the district’s plans for the next five years.
Starting Tuesday, community members can participate in listening sessions scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The district has planned eight sessions at various locations:
Tuesday, October 8: Douglass High School Commons
Thursday, October 10: John Marshall Enterprise High School Cafeteria
Tuesday, October 22: Capitol Hill High School Cafeteria
Wednesday, October 23: Classen SAS High School at Northeast Cafeteria
Tuesday, October 29: Southeast High School Cafeteria
Wednesday, November 6: US Grant High School Cafeteria
Thursday, November 7: Star Spencer High School Cafeteria
Tuesday, November 12: NW Classen High School Cafeteria
Each session will offer interpretation services in American Sign Language and Spanish to ensure everyone can participate.
