On Sunday, child deputies participating in a mock session of the National Assembly highlighted the concerns and aspirations of young voters regarding two key issues: “Prevention of School Violence” and “Preventing the Harmful Effects of Tobacco and Stimulants, Especially in Schools.” The Minister of Education and Training and the Minister of Health engaged in discussions with the child deputies on these critical topics.
This Q&A session was part of the second mock session of the Children’s National Assembly, which kicked off in Hanoi on Saturday and saw the involvement of over 200 child representatives.
During the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that the Party and State prioritize the protection, care, and education of children. He expressed admiration for the performance of the child deputies, noting that many of their questions and proposed solutions were relevant and rooted in real-life experiences.
Chairman Man assured that the National Assembly, along with the Government, ministries, and other organizations, takes children’s issues seriously when drafting and implementing policies and laws. He declared the three-day mock session a success, stating that it serves as an important platform for children to voice their opinions, thoughts, and aspirations. This model also provides children with valuable opportunities to develop their skills in expressing their views and participating in decision-making on issues that matter to them.
