The Gardner School of Naperville has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This accreditation places the school among the top 10% of preschool and kindergarten programs in the United States that meet national standards for early childhood education.
To obtain NAEYC accreditation, The Gardner School underwent a comprehensive evaluation process involving both staff and parents. The school had to meet or exceed numerous criteria across ten program standards, including curriculum quality, staff qualifications, and parent involvement.
Once accredited, schools are subject to random, unannounced visits by assessors to ensure they continue to meet quality standards over a five-year period.
“Our research-based curriculum integrates academics with social-emotional and creative play to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond,” said Tammy Robinson, Chief Operating Officer at The Gardner School. “I’m thankful to our dedicated staff and parents for helping us achieve this recognition and create a top-notch preschool program in Naperville.”
This is the ninth NAEYC-accredited location for The Gardner School in the Chicago area, following their preschools in Bucktown, Lincoln Park, West Loop, Northbrook, Oak Brook, Lombard, Schaumburg, and Lincolnshire.
“We aim to make learning enjoyable and to help our students excel both during their time with us and after they move on to new schools,” said Kaitlyn Rose, Executive School Director. Rose, who studied early childhood education at Illinois State University, joined The Gardner School in 2018.
The Gardner School of Naperville offers part- and full-time programs for children from infancy through kindergarten, led by highly qualified teachers. The school also provides a range of on-site enrichment programs and maintains real-time communication with parents about their children’s daily activities.
