Michigan Parents Urged to Enroll Kids in Pre-K Education

Michigan education officials are urging parents to enroll their young children in preschool programs.

Beverly Griffea, Director of the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential, emphasizes the importance of early education for school readiness.

“It is crucial to start early, so that when children enter kindergarten or first grade, they have already achieved some milestones. This preparation helps ensure they understand the learning process and can transition smoothly without falling behind,” Griffea said.

Griffea also noted that the statewide Pre-K program is open to all residents.
