On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the establishment of the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PEEF), aimed at providing higher education opportunities for children from economically disadvantaged families.

During a meeting at the Prime Minister’s House with Oxford Union President Israr Khan Kakar, PM Shehbaz highlighted that the PEEF includes a 20% quota specifically for the youth of Balochistan.

The Prime Minister also congratulated Kakar for his recent election as Oxford Union President, noting that Kakar is the third Pakistani and the first from Balochistan to achieve this honor.

PM Shehbaz praised Kakar’s election as a testament to his determination and perseverance. “Israr Khan Kakar’s election as Oxford Union President is a clear sign of his unwavering resolve,” the Prime Minister said.

Earlier this year, in March, PM Shehbaz announced the creation of PEEF to ensure that talented students can continue their education without financial barriers.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to equip both boys and girls with modern education and skills to drive the country’s development forward. He assured that resources would be effectively utilized in collaboration with provincial governments to support this initiative.
