CCEI Offers Free Course on Early Childhood Development

ATLANTA, GA, Aug. 01, 2024 — ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), a provider of online child care training, is offering a free trial course, CCEI891: Developmental Domains in Early Childhood Development, to new users from August 1-31, 2024.

Early childhood professionals must understand child development theories to create appropriate curricula. The human body develops in several areas known as developmental domains. Each child is unique and develops at their own pace, but general stages of development can be identified. For example, infants usually roll over before they crawl and walk.

This course allows educators to explore the basics of early childhood development across various learning domains. It’s crucial for educators to grasp child development’s nature and recognize individual developmental differences. Caregivers can enhance quality interactions and support children in practicing new skills. Completing this course will better equip teachers to aid children’s development.

“This course benefits ECE professionals by familiarizing them with human development’s complexity, developmental domains, and individual differences, leading to improved child care quality,” said Dr. Chrystine Mitchell, Director of Early Childhood Education Operations.

CCEI891: Developmental Domains in Early Childhood Development is a beginner-level, one-hour course granting 0.1 IACET CEU upon completion. Current CCEI users with active annual subscriptions can access professional development courses at no extra cost. Non-subscribers can purchase training courses as block hours through CCEI’s online enrollment.

ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) offers distance education certificates and training programs for various child care settings, including preschools, family child care, prekindergarten classrooms, nanny care, and online daycare training. CCEI provides over 200 online child care training courses in English and Spanish, meeting licensing, recognition program, and Head Start requirements. They also offer certification programs fulfilling coursework requirements for national credentials like the CDA, Director, and Early Childhood Credentials. CCEI is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) and is an authorized provider by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
