An international humanitarian organization, supported by Education Can’t Wait (ECW), UNICEF, and the Norwegian Refugee Council, donated dignity kits to the Adamawa State Government (ADSG) over the weekend to support girl-child education.

The dignity kits were presented to the state government through the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Garba Umar Pella, in Yola. Ali Zulfiquar, head of education for the organization, emphasized that this donation would significantly enhance girl-child education in the state.

Zulfiquar highlighted the organization’s ongoing efforts in health, education, nutrition, and humanitarian sectors across various communities. These initiatives aim to improve living conditions in Adamawa and other regions.

He also mentioned that the organization plans to introduce more projects in the state, aligning with their core mission. Zulfiquar called for increased support and cooperation from the state government to ensure the success of these projects.

In response, Dr. Garba Umar Pella, the Adamawa State Commissioner for Education, expressed gratitude on behalf of the state government. He acknowledged the valuable contributions of the organization and their partners to the socio-economic development of Adamawa.

Pella reiterated the administration’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening partnerships with the organization and other development partners to maximize the benefits for the people of Adamawa and all involved in these collaborations.
