On July 22, Knox Council will review proposals for new sessional kindergarten providers to operate in its facilities starting next year.
The recommended providers are experienced, not-for-profit organizations specializing in kindergarten education, distinct from long day care. All are currently licensed to operate kindergartens in Victoria.
This decision follows Council’s August resolution to cease operating stand-alone sessional kindergarten services and instead lease its buildings to other providers beginning in 2025.
New providers were selected through a public advertising process. Their names will be announced publicly once leases are finalized in August 2024.
