LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA, May 28, 2024** — IDEA Lab Kids, a franchise known for its innovative approach to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education, is making significant strides not only in education but also in empowering women in leadership and business ownership. Under the guidance of Lyricos® Learning, LLC, IDEA Lab Kids boasts a leadership team dominated by women and a franchise network where over 50% of the owners are female entrepreneurs.

Devina Bhojwani

At the forefront of IDEA Lab Kids is President Devina Bhojwani. Bhojwani’s journey began with a background in managing Gymboree Play & Music centers, where she led a team of 55 teachers and turned her centers into top performers nationally. Her interest in IDEA Lab Kids was sparked when her daughter attended one of their summer camps.

Bhojwani joined IDEA Lab Kids as an investor and board member in 2017, becoming President in December 2019. She now focuses on international expansion and improving access to STEAM education.

“As a multi-unit franchisee for almost a decade, I developed experience that helps me in this role,” Bhojwani said. “I understand the challenges franchise owners face, especially women, and I aim to provide equitable access to STEAM education.”

Jennifer Bertram

Jennifer Bertram, the new STEAM Success Manager, brings 17 years of experience from the Hawthorne School District. She has a strong background in developing STEM and STEAM programs and is dedicated to expanding these programs across multiple districts.

“I’ve always been passionate about supporting girls in STEM,” Bertram said. “Getting kids involved in STEAM early can maintain their interest and help close gender and equity gaps in these fields.”

Andrea Coan

Andrea Coan, Director of Client Success and Marketing, uses her experience as a former franchise owner to support IDEA Lab Kids’ franchise network. She started her career in corporate marketing before owning and operating early childhood education centers in Boston for 25 years.

“When I joined IDEA Lab Kids, I felt I could be a strong asset because I’ve walked in the franchisees’ shoes,” Coan said. “I support the growth of the system and help fellow women entrepreneurs achieve success through franchising.”

The IDEA Lab Kids Model

IDEA Lab Kids offers a comprehensive range of STEAM-focused programs, including after-school classes, camps, and birthday parties. The franchise is committed to growing with new and existing franchisees, providing top-notch support through training, site selection, and cutting-edge content.

The success of IDEA Lab Kids, driven by its female leadership, highlights a trend toward inclusivity and diversity in education. These leaders not only achieve personal success but also create opportunities for the next generation to excel in STEAM fields.
